If you have ever hosted a cheese tasting, you know that you can’t please everyone. The Cheddar is too sharp, the Brie looks mouldy, the blue is too… blue. But there’s one cheese that everyone loves.
Welcome to Havarti! Curd washed to ensure no lactose is present in the cheese. This full flavoured cheese uses the Lactococcus species and subspecies. This promotes irregular diamond-shaped holes allowing to propagate in the body of the cheese.
An annual award-winner both locally and internationally. I have yet to meet a person who hasn’t enjoyed this cheese. In fact, I challenge you not to enjoy it! Oh and did we mention it is creamy?
